I went for 2-days at Tubesis where UNDP and the Ministry of Mines were giving a seminar to artisanal or small-scale miners.
Then we took granny for a short trip to the coast that she had never seen. We spent 2 nights in Walwis Bay, eat a lot of seafood including very fresh oysters and drove to Sandwich Harbour at low tide. We than took Granny on a small adventure through the Omaruru riverbed where we wildcamp one night. The Omdel dam was totally dry. We then drove through the Spitzkopje riverbed and between the two Spitzkopje mountains. We had booked a cottage for the last 2 nights in the Ameid nature reserve north of Usakos in the South of the Erongo mountains. We hiked a few trails amongs the giant granite boulders and up to the Philip's cave which has some interesting bushman paintings.
